Privacy Policy for SummarAIzeIT

This Privacy Policy explains how SummarAIzeIT (“we,” “our,” or “us”) collects, uses, stores, and protects information when users access the SummarAIzeIT platform.

1. Information We Collect

We collect account information such as email address, authentication session data, subscription status, and user-created project data. When a user connects content sources, we collect the source configuration and the content needed to provide summaries.

2. Connected Accounts and External Source Data

If a user chooses to connect an external account or content source, SummarAIzeIT uses the authorization granted by the user to access selected content for import into the user's SummarAIzeIT project.

For imported content, we may store metadata such as title, sender or source, identifiers, threading or grouping metadata, and the content body needed to display and summarize the item.

3. How We Use Connected Source Data

SummarAIzeIT uses connected source data only to provide user-facing app functionality: connecting the source, importing selected or eligible content, creating in-app records, generating summaries, and preventing duplicate imports.

SummarAIzeIT does not use connected source data to send messages, delete source content, edit source content, serve advertising, or sell user data.

4. AI Processing

Newsletter and source content may be processed by trusted third-party AI service providers, such as OpenAI, solely to generate summaries and related app functionality requested by the user.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell personal data. We share data only with service providers needed to operate the platform, process payments, provide infrastructure, support authentication, or generate summaries. These providers are used only for the purposes described in this policy.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain account, project, source, newsletter, and summary data while the user's account or project remains active, unless deletion is requested or required by law. Users may request deletion by contacting support.

7. Revoking Access

Users can remove connected accounts or content sources from project settings in SummarAIzeIT. Users may also revoke access directly through the external provider's account or security settings. After access is revoked, the app can no longer fetch new content from that source unless the user reconnects it.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect user data. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, but we work to limit access to user data to systems and service providers needed to operate SummarAIzeIT.

9. Your Choices

Users can choose which sources to connect, remove connected email accounts, revoke provider access, stop using the service, or contact us to request account or data deletion.
